Lunching at Ed's Daily in East Vancouver

Lunching

Life has changed so much for me lately, I kind of still can’t even comprehend it.

I recently made a jump I’ve been waiting to make for some time and joined a collective and a joined working space at Neighbourhood Brand. I now work side-by-side to some of my closest friends, a huge transformation from my solo at-home working space of the last 9 months, and a move I’m sure has changed the projection of my life and my future for the better. I finally understand the power of surrounding yourself with creatives who inspire you, as well as the premise of happiness before success.

The best part of this working arrangement, I’ve found, is the undying support I’ve received. Even on days like today, when I’m emotionally defeated even before arriving to the office, an outpouring of love and a lunch date at Ed’s Daily in Vancouver picks me up again and gets me right back on track.

With that being said, I have something I have to admit: I was wrong.

I was wrong to so strongly encourage solo work, to look down upon playtime with friends, and to ever consider social interaction as nothing but a distraction. As it turns out, the moments of play with people you love keep you going, push you higher, and strengthen you like you could never imagine.

Yes, be wary of who you spend your time with; but once you find the ones who love you and lift you, hold onto them and cherish them forever.
