Every girl loves to be treated to a five-course meal, it’s just that most girls don’t expect to be wine-and-dined at such a prestigious level as I’ve been with the American Express Platinum Card. Who would have thought?
Well, I’m officially ‘in-the-know’ when it comes to getting my taste buds excited and happy. I recently experienced the overindulgent and delicious Amex Platinum Dining event in Vancouver and wow, was this better than virtually any regular wine-and-dine date I’ve ever been on! Thanks to the two incredible Chefs of the evening, Chef Ned Bell and guest chef, Jeff Van Geest. I got to oooh and ahhh and eat my heart out five times in a row.
Held at YEW Seafood and Bar at the Four Seasons, arguably one of Vancouver’s most mouthwatering restaurants (where plenty of tourists flock to in order to get their taste buds familiar with our infamous Westcoast Salmon and the like).I couldn’t have been more delighted when I located my nametag and settled in for the feast to begin – after diligently watching over the appetizer welcome table, of course.
With five courses of mind-blowing tastes that were paired with and enhanced by shifting whites and reds, this Platinum Dining event couldn’t have been more fitting to its name. Plus, the takeaway gift bag left me with dozens of tips and recipes urging me to explore my own kitchen and create some artfully decorated plates myself.
Personally I thought airport lounge access, annual travel credit, and car rental discounts were already above and beyond perks… but these incredible feasts are a special added benefit I won’t say no to. Also with the Platinum Card, I have access to the Platinum Concierge, who is on hand to help with restaurant suggestions, inventive ideas for memorable nights out, amazing places to visit when travelling the world.
Needless to say, the Amex Platinum Dining Event in Vancouver was exquisitely mouthwatering!
